Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway

December 5, 2009 at La Sure’s Banquet hall in Oshkosh. There were many awards handed out to drivers and track workers. Kicking off the night was Hard Luck Award Street Stock driver, Ellie Wallace. The Sportsmanship Award went to Street Stock driver Brian Vinney Jr. The A.J. Miller Young Guns Award went to Grand National Driver Matt Klenz. The Above and Beyond award went to two drivers this year, Street Stock driver Jerry Winkler and Grand National Driver Adam Pugh. Rookie’s of the year went to Lynn’s Service Center Dirt Devil Driver Jim Rhode, Total Power Sales Street Stock Driver Andy Gross and Miller Lite Grand National Driver Daniel Koch.

The Pig Pen Award went to (FLUFFY) Kyle Boyce, and The Don’t be a Sally went to TJ Smith. You will have to ask them about their awards. Track champions were honored in 4 classes; When it comes down to commitment, dedication and determination these 4 drivers know what is meant by this.


The Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series goes trackside tomorrow night (Fri, June 12th) at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway. The very fast big third-mile located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin has provided some outstanding action over the years. Oshkosh has traditionally hosted a pair of IRA events each year with 2008 winners being Mother Nature in June and Donny Goeden in September. Billy Balog leads Scotty Neitzel, Mike Reinke, John Haeni, and Steve Meyer in the current point standings. Thus far in 09, 9 feature events have been contested with 9 different winners.


OSHKOSH 15The 900 horsepower thunder of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints storms into the Oshkosh this Friday night June 12th. The fast big third-mile Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway is the site and this venue has produced some ultra fast and exciting IRA events over the years. Defending IRA Champ and current point leader Billy Balog heads a star-studded field of entries which include last year's Oshkosh IRA winner Donny Goeden, past IRA Champs Scotty Neitzel and John Haeni, Mike Reinke, Steve Meyer, Scott & Dave Uttech, Scotty Biertzer, Mike Kertscher, 2nd generation rookie sensation Phillip Mock, and 6-time Knoxville Track Champion and World of Outlaw star Terry McCarl. Don't miss dirt track racing's fastest cars on one of Wisconsin's fastest tracks, as Budweiser presents The IRA Outlaw Sprints at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.


Sonntag PhotographyThe Speedzone would host West Side Tire – Dash on the Dirt on Friday night with the Fastrak Late Models joining us for the first of two appearances at the zone this year. Also joining us for the evening was Atlas Tag and Label Company employees. Showers moved through the area early putting some extra moisture into the track.

On a night where die hard race fans braved the windy, chilly temperatures and threat of ran to watch night two of the Speedzone's season. Many new faces graced the stands, with the largest number of Scouts in uniform ever to attend Scout Night at the Zone. Street Stock Rookie Elly Wallace #16 provided t-shirts from her new sponsor B-104.7 for the T-Shirt Sling. She helped shoot the shirts up into the stands where Scouts snagged quit a few of them. Despite the weather, those that came out seen some great racing and had a lot of fun.
